His 20 plus years as a ‘residential farmer’ began down on the farm. He did not sell his products to the public in the beginning, but took his services to them, doing all the work himself. With many satisfied customers throughout Sussex County, R&L Irrigation soon became a leader in professional irrigation services and lawn maintenance. Not only does R&L Irrigation come in and achieve a beautiful lawn for their customers, but for those customers that enjoy doing their own planting, R&L Irrigation can supply the right products and the knowledge of how to use them.

In 2023, a store-front building became available on the busy intersection of Rt 13 and Cannon Road in Seaford. Williams knew it was the right time to open a retail store to the public. Now, anyone can come in to purchase the time-tested products, plus ask questions. “What type of seed, what fertilizer should I use, how often and when” are a few of the many questions we are here to answer.

In our retail store, we also carry everything for the do-it-yourselfers. If they want fertilizer, we’ve got that. If they want to fix or maintain their own irrigation system, we have the parts. We carry professional grade products, all brands, at half the box store prices. Or, if they want an irrigation system installed, Williams has the knowledge and experience. His crews install approx 150 systems yearly and maintain over 1000 annually.
