Performs routine and emergency installation, repair, and maintenance of the water, sewer, and storm drain systems. This work includes, but is not limited to, the installation and repair of water/sewer taps, emergency and routine system repairs, locating water/sewer lines, fire hydrant flushing and maintenance, valve exercise and maintenance/repair, cleaning and maintaining sewer lines. Performs other duties as assigned. High School diploma or GED required. Preferred Experience: Six months of related experience. Requirements/ Certifications: Valid driver’s license, CDL learner’s permit, DOT Medical card, Flagger Certification, CPR Certification, or ability to obtain. WASTEWATER PLANT OPERATOR I OR II Water Works Department; Full-Time; Full Benefits; Salary: $38,192 – $41,248 Closing Date: Open Until Filled. Monitors and operates wastewater treatment equipment including meters, pumps, and motors. Collects process samples and conducts testing, such as pH and DO. Maintains log of operational changes and readings. Performs preventative maintenance and cleans process areas. Maryland Class 5A Wastewater Certification preferred, but must be obtained within three years. Performs other duties as assigned. Current open shift is 4PM-12AM. High School diploma or GED required. Experience: Three years of related experience. Requirements/Certifications: Valid driver’s license. WASTEWATER PLANT BIOSOLIDS OPERATOR I Water Works Department; Full-Time; Full Benefits; Salary: $35,363 Closing Date: Open Until Filled. Operates biosolids dewatering and drying equipment. Transports biosolids to disposal site. Assists with cleaning, preventative maintenance and repairs to biosolids equipment. Performs other duties as assigned. Maryland Class S Wastewater Certification preferred, but must be obtained within 3 years. This position has a career ladder in place to assist with promotional opportunities. High School diploma or GED required. Experience: Six months of related experience. Requirements/Certifications: Valid Class B CDL driver’s license. WATER PLANT OPERATOR I OR II Water Works Department; Full-Time/Rotating Shifts; Full Benefits; Salary: $38,192 – $41,248; Closing Date: Open Until Filled. All phases of operations and maintenance of two water treatment plants, all wells, outbuildings and water towers. Treatment processes include pressure sand filters, aeration, pH control, corrosion control, fluoridation and disinfection. We will train the right individual.
