Do you enjoy being outdoors and connecting with nature? The folks who plant the flowers in pots and gardens throughout Millsboro are looking for new members. Formed in 2007 by a small group of women with dierent backgrounds and dierent levels of gardening expertise, the Garden Club of Millsboro welcomes members of all ages and gardening abilities. The Club meets on the 2nd Friday of most months at 10:00 a.m. at the Millsboro Public Library. The Garden Club’s mission is to encourage and support beautification of the town of Millsboro. Through corporate and Town sponsorships, the Club maintains 44 planters and four gardens by adding seasonal flowers and shrubbery annually. Benefits of joining the Club include sharing of information and ideas from other gardeners, enjoying many programs on garden-related topics at monthly meetings and workshops, and meeting new friends and gardeners. The Club also plans various social events throughout the year such as visits to Brittingham Farms in Millsboro, Story Hill Farm in Frankford, and day trips to Cape May and Longwood Gardens.
