Apply a broad spectrum sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher at least 20-30 minutes before exposure to sun. 2. Lighten up your skincare routine each season. Cleansers with a creamy or oily base tend to be too heavy this time of year. Try using a foaming cleanser to add hydration while beating the heat and humidity. 3. Use a dual purpose moisturizer. Try switching to a combination moisturizer and sunscreen. Heavy moisturizers and sweating clogs pores and causes inflammation and acne. So, keep it light and airy! 4. Don’t skip moisturizing. You still need it even if your skin feels oily or damp with sweat. ALWAYS moisturize after cleansing . This is where the dual purpose moisturizer can help nourish the skin without feeling heavy. 5. Use a good Vitamin C serum. Vitamin C helps prevent hyperpigmentation and helps improve fine lines. It can also help with collagen production. Apply a few drops between cleansing and moisturizing. Vitamin C is great to use year-round but especially in the summer. Your Summer Skin Guide 1. Do not switch back and forth between water and oil bases. These products do not stick to each other! This is a very common mistake lots of homeowners make! 2. Avoid sealing in extreme heat and temperature because it dries too fast. 3. Avoid the “spray on” technique. Brush sealing is the most e‹ective application. When we apply our brush technique, you get a thicker application with more coverage of those nooks and cracks in your driveway.
