Lynette’s Crab Supreme

Ingredients:

8 slices white bread (cubed)

3 cups crabmeat (I like backfin or lump)

1 med. onion (chopped)

1 cup celery (chopped)

1/2 cup green pepper (chopped)

1/2 cup mayonnaise (not salad dressing)

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1 stick butter

4 eggs (beaten)

3 cups milk

1 bag grated sharp cheddar cheese

paprika

 

Directions:

Place 1/2 of bread cubes in bottom of 13x9x2 baking dish or pan. Saute onions,

celery & green pepper in butter. Mix with mayonnaise & crabmeat. Spread crab

mixture of bread cubes. Top crab mixture with other bread cubes. Mix eggs & milk and pour over dish. Refrigerate overnight. Bake at 325 degrees for 15 minutes. Top with soup & cheese. Bake 1 hour or until golden brown.
