DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Primary responsibilites:
* Identification, qualification and capture activities associated with developing new business primarily in the private market as well as opportunities in the public sector for major new construction contracts.
* Client contact during direct sales.
* Identification of opportunities and execution of Whayland marketing plans. The individual will be accountable for new business results, developing and maintaining new client and industry partner relationships and identifying and pursuing multiple marketing opportunities.
* Present The Whayland Company qualifications with prospective clients and at industry events.
Position Requirements:
* High level of understanding of commercial construction.
* Five years experience in business devleopment/sales for a general contractor or architect.
* Bachelor’s degree in related field
* Strong work ethic and reasoning skills.
* Attentive to detail and organized methodology.
* Able to work in fast-paced, environment dealing with multiple team members.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.
* Motivated self-starter
