Notice is given that the Delaware State Housing Authority (DSHA) will conduct A Public Hearing concerning a proposed Family Re-entry Pilot Program (FRP) for Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher Programs.
DSHA is part of a consortium of five Delaware Public Housing Authorities (PHAs) proposing to administer a statewide FRP. The goal of the program is to provide individuals recently released from incarceration, or individuals who have been in the community for less than 3 years with the opportunity to reunite with their families living in PHA-assisted housing for a temporary 1 to 2-year period. After participants successfully complete the FRP, they can request to be added to their family’s lease permanently.
A copy of the Draft FRP Pilot Program Addendum will be avail. for inspection & review at DSHA’s offices during normal business hours, Mon.-Fri., at 18 The Green, Dover and each Public Housing development beginning Jan. 17, 2020. The FRP Pilot will also be avail. on the DSHA website at
www.destatehousing.com beginning Jan. 17, 2020. The comment period will end on March 5, 2020.
The public hearing will be held in the Liberty Court Community Building, 1289 Walker Rd., Dover, DE 19904 at 5:30pm, Wed., Feb. 19, 2020. The Community Building is handicapped accessible.
