Hear stories from the historic Dover Green while starting your year o† outdoors. This program is FREE and requires no registration. 1pm will feature our guided walking tour and we will have extra self-guided booklets available throughout the day FRIDAY, JANUARY 2 FROM 6 - 8 PM Skate Night Camp Mardela 301 Deep Shore Rd., Denton, MD Celebrate the New Year at Camp Mardela! Come out for the first Friday night of 2026 to roll into the New Year! This family-friendly glow-in-the-dark skate party is fun for all ages. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Admission is $10/skater (includes food!) We recommend bringing your own skates, but if you need to borrow ours, it is $5 to rent a pair of our skates (Limited supply - Available sizes - J11-M13). WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 31 FROM 5:30 - 7:30 PM Family-Friendly Overfalls Anchor Drop & Midnight Revelers Anchor Drop The Lightship Overfalls 219 Pilottown Rd., Lewes, DE The Lightship Overfalls will conduct TWO Anchor drop events this NYE! Anchor Drop #1 will take place from 5:30 - 7:30 PM at the Lightship and Monomoy pavilion adjacent to the ship. The ship’s “anchor” will be lowered down the ship’s mast after a 7:00 PM countdown, (midnight in the United Kingdom—the reason for our 250th celebrations). Participate in our two contests - “Drop the Anchor” – Win the chance to board the ship and help the Overfalls crew drop the anchor at 7:00 PM, and - “Have a Blast” - Win the chance to blast the ship’s authentic horn used to protect ships and sailors on foggy days and nights. FREE hot chocolate, anchor-shaped cookies, and popcorn. Art table for personalizing your NYE hat. Go onboard the Lightship Overfalls deck (weather permitting) and enjoy the views. WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 31 FROM 9 PM - 12:30 AM 2025 Downtown Salisbury Ball Drop Celebration Downtown Salisbury, MD Taking place in the heart of Downtown Salisbury, this family-friendly celebration is set to be the Eastern Shore’s largest New Year’s Eve event. This year’s celebration will feature live musical performances, interactive attractions including a mechanical bull, selfie station, and trivia, and a “Shining Star Contest” for the brightest or most reflective outfit.
